Coffee Shop Barista

Participate in and support all food service related activities; brews coffee and makes espresso and specialty coffee and smoothie drinks; prepares and fills orders; follows The NEW Center Coffee Shops standard operating procedures; prepare made-to-order dishes in Bistro; anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating and assessing environment and customer; follow and adhere to daily, weekly, and monthly side-work cleaning schedules; cash register operation; stocks and preps station setup -- may include frequent work in food production and banquet operations.

Banquet Server

Participate in all food service related activities; provide personalized customer service while serving food and beverages to customers during banquets and in retail dining areas. Includes greeting customers, answering questions about products, menus, or services, fielding complaints, and ensuring an overall pleasant experience. Banquet room set-up and tear down as well as all advanced banquet preparations; food handling; frequently transfer food supplies and equipment to multiple locations; follows and adheres to daily, weekly, and monthly side-work cleaning schedules.

Steward

Participate in food service related activities, including but not limited to: washing dishes, glassware, flatware, and pots/pans using dishwasher or by hand; maintain kitchen work areas in clean and orderly condition; sort and remove trash and recycling; sweep and mop floors. Receive and store supplies; frequently transfer food supplies and equipment to multiple locations; set up banquet tables, chairs, staging and banquet equipment. Follows and adheres to daily, weekly, and monthly side-work cleaning schedules.

Line Cook

Participate in food service related activities, including but not limited to: Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies. Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing and preparing sauces. Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift. Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
